Honoring Diversity & Promoting Unity
Through Christmas Animation
In "Rumpets for Reindeer" Santa's Suit is Red and His
Beard is White, But Kids Pick the Color of His Skin
Rochester, NY (November 12, 2001) -Coolimania Productions recently launched
the new Christmas story,"Rumpets for Reindeer"TM
for worldwide distribution. This non-profit production is available free
for all and advertising-free on the Internet at www.Rumpets.com.
Children choose the ethnicity of Santa in the story and find new traditions
and crafts. The site has earned the internationally coveted Macromedia
Award and generated over 500,000 hits in just one day. The site has captured
widespread attention across the U.S., Europe, India, Brazil, Australia,
Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere. The unique ethnic
diversity, creative illustrations, and magical storyline have quickly
made "Rumpets for Reindeer" a favorite among kids and parents. The story
destined to become a holiday classic answers the question "How do Santa's
reindeer fly" and invites children to be Santa's helpers. The story accomplishes
a rare feat by attracting the interest of the whole family and heightening
the anticipation for Christmas, while completely avoiding commercialization.
It is expected that more than 2 million children will celebrate ethnic
diversity and enjoy "Rumpets" this Christmas season.
"To truly thrive, children need to see themselves reflected in the
world around them," believes Sue Kochan, "Rumpets for Reindeer" author
and executive producer. "There's no better time of year to encourage inclusion
and honor diversity than during this season of sharing and extending ourselves
to others."
"This is what Christmas magic is all about," said one reviewer.
"The whole family is involved not just by enjoying the story, but
also through the activities and tradition surrounding Rumpets."
According
to Kochan, the production is a labor of love. "Weve spent the
past decade in advertising. We recently worked the high-tech dot com scene.
Now were doing what we truly love igniting childrens
imaginations and inspiring good values."
The
Cool:i:mania team insists profit is not the focus. "This is about
following our hearts. Were putting our passion and talents to good
use by inspiring and connecting families. We expect to prove that profits
follow commitment and value, not the other way around," said Kochan.
Cool:i:mania Productions creates original animations for exclusive licensing
and client projects.
"'Rumpets
for Reindeer' is awesome! I watched it 4 times in a row, and I'm an adult.
At least I think I am." Reviews like this from a parent of young
twins have poured into Cool:i:mania from around the world.
"Were
amazed by how fast the story has become popular. Thats the beauty
of the Internet. With one click, you can share fun with everyone you know,"
says director Andy Riley. "We know weve set the bar high with
Rumpets. Based on the response so far, families are looking
for a higher standard of entertainment."
